Citing the COVID-19 crisis, CMS announced some relief for quality reporting and data submission related to the Quality Payment Program (QPP), the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and the Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

In an effort to handle the COVID-19 crisis that's showing signs of straining health care resources and supplies, CMS issued a memo to providers instructing them to delay elective surgeries and non-essential medical and dental procedures.
 
You’ll find immediate opportunity to provide virtual visits to patients enrolled in Medicare plans as CMS seeks to facilitate screening and treatment of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases through telehealth services.
 
On March 13, CMS posted a fact sheet to the cms.gov website to aid Medicare providers, billers and coders with information relating to the pricing of both the CDC and non-CDC coronavirus (COVID-19) tests.
